TWA HOTEL JFK AIRPORT

TWA Hotel at JFK: A Trip Back to Aviation's Golden Age

Layover Lens | New York City | Hotel Experience

What if you could step off a plane and travel back in time to the glamorous 1960s?

Located at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport, the iconic TWA Hotel celebrates the golden age of aviation with striking architecture, vintage-inspired interiors, and an atmosphere that captures the elegance of air travel from decades past.

For me, this experience was especially meaningful. During only my second trip as a flight attendant, I found myself walking through the hotel's famous red-carpeted corridors, remembering the little girl who once dreamed of working in the skies.

But what started as a glamorous hotel experience quickly turned into one of my most embarrassing flight-attendant moments! Let's just say that a few unexpected reflections and a WhatsApp group of 49 people taught me a lesson I'll never forget.

This long-overdue episode is more than a hotel tour. It's a story about childhood dreams, unexpected adventures, learning to laugh at yourself, and finding the courage to keep creating.
